πŸ’° What $166/month bought one local venue last month

Hey Local Business Friends,

May is here, and if you're anything like the business owners I talk to, you're either heads-down in end-of-school-year chaos β€” or you're starting to think about what summer looks like for your customers.

Either way, I wanted to share some numbers from April before we dive into what's coming.

Abbie's Top Tip

Show up as Yourself

The best thing you can do for your business right now isn't a better ad. It's being recognizable, consistently you online.

I know it's tempting to let AI write your captions, draft your emails, and fill your feed. And look β€” AI is a useful tool. But the moment it replaces your actual voice, your audience feels it. It goes flat. It sounds like every other business in your category, and local families choose based on trust.

Generic doesn't build trust.

The business owners who win around here are the ones who show up. Put your face in your stories. Write the caption how you'd actually say it.

Let people see the real person behind the business β€” because that's who they're actually buying from. They don't just want to know what you offer. They want to know if they like you.

Authenticity isn't a trend. It's the whole game!

What happened in April

We ran campaigns for over a dozen local businesses last month β€” from a performing arts center to a tutoring company to a taekwondo academy. Across the board, the pattern was the same: parents in Collin County were actively researching, clicking, and making decisions.

Here's one that stood out:

Eisemann Center β€” 48,000+ impressions at $166/month. That's their 12-month event package, Month 2. At less than the cost of a single boosted Facebook post, their upcoming shows were in front of tens of thousands of local parents across Instagram, Facebook, and our newsletter β€” people who were already in "what should we do this weekend?" mode.

The Eisemann started as a test. One month in, the numbers made the decision easy.

That's how it usually goes.

What's open in May

School's out just before Memorial Day for most families in Collin County. Between now and then, parents are in full planning mode β€” summer camps, activities, childcare, dining out, date nights, you name it.

If you want to be in front of them during that window (not after), May is the time to move.

A few spots are available this month:

  • Newsletter features - emailed to 10,000 local subscribers
  • Social promotions β€” Facebook + Instagram across our channels (53K+ followers each)
  • Directory listings β€” passive visibility running 24/7 on planomoms.com
  • Event promotions β€” perfect if you have a summer kick-off, open house, or seasonal special

A few things worth knowing:

  • Annual Directory listings are still available β€” lock in 12 months of visibility now, no monthly decisions to make.
  • Every campaign gets a recap report β€” you'll always know exactly what your investment delivered.

P.S. Not ready for a full package? You can start with a single event promotion - it's the easiest way to dip your toe in, see how our audience responds, and get a full recap report before committing to anything bigger.

Just reply and I'll send details.
